2017 is the year of the rooster. The front of the coin predominately features a proud rooster looking at a Hen to his right. Under the Rooster are three chicklings. The engraving on the bottom of the coin reads “Year of the Rooster”
The back of the 2017 Rooster depicts an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The portrait of her majesty is present on the reverse side of all editions of the Lunar II silver coin series. On the top of the coin “Elizabeth II” and “Australia” are embossed.
The engravings on the bottom of the coin include the weight and purity “2oz 9999 AG”. The year “2017” and the nominal value “2 Dollars”
