The Year of the Rabbit

The Rabbit is the fourth Chinese zodiac sign. The birth years of the Lunar Rabbit are 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023.

People born in the Year of the Rabbit are considered talented and ambitious. They are popular and good partners. Pessimism, insecurity and fear of change characterize those with Rabbit personalities. They are very patient and are good natured. In business, they are clever and often make the right decisions from the gut. Rabbits are known for their sense of art and therefore usually have nice homes.

The motif side of the Lunar II Rabbit 1 kilo silver coin shows a mother rabbit with her young rabbit in a field, with vines and tree leaves in the background. The design is very realistic and detailed and depicts the rabbits in their natural environment. In the middle, on the left side, you can see the letter "P", which is the traditional mint mark for the Perth Mint. On the right border is the Chinese character for “Rabbit”. The inscription on the bottom outer edge reads "Year of the Rabbit".

The value page shows the right side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with crown, designed by artist and engraver Ian Rank-Broadley. Under the portrait are his initials "IRB". The inscriptions surrounding the outer coin edge are the name of the regent "Elizabeth II”, the country of origin “Australia”, the fine weight, purity and metal “1KG 999 Silver”, the date of issue “2011” and the nominal value “30 Dollars".
