The 2019 Dragon rectangular 1 oz Silver coin features the revered Chinese dragon and the flaming pearl, which are two of the most popular symbols in Chinese culture. The dragon represents strength and power, and the flaming pearl symbolizes immortality, wisdom and prosperity.
The Dragon rectangular 1 oz silver coin was first introduced in 2018. The 2019 issue is the second release in the series and is produced by the world renowned Perth Mint.
The 2019 dragon rectangular 1 oz silver coin has a purity of 99.99% silver and will have a limited mintage of 250,000 coins.
The 2019 edition features the latest Jody Clark effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the value side of the coin.
The motif side of the coin depicts a Chinese dragon chasing a flaming pearl. In the background are floating clouds. In Chinese mythology the dragon is often paired with the flaming pearl and represents infinite wisdom. To the right of the dragon is the letter “P”, which stands for the Perth Mint.
The value side shows the right side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Jody Clark design shows the queen wearing a royal diadem, earring and necklace. Emanating from the Queen are light rays.
Above the Queen are the name of the regent “ELIZABETH II”, the country of origin “AUSTRALIA”, and the fine weight and purity “1 oz 9999 Ag”. Below are the nominal value of “1 DOLLAR” and the year of issue “2019”.
