Product Description

Gold coins, where the design of the panda changes every year, remain very popular to worldwide collectors and investors for their very attractive designs. The 1991 Panda Gold Coin here is 99.9 fine, minted in brilliant uncirculated quality and sold in the original sealed packing.

Several Chinese mints can produce the Panda gold coins and Chinese mints usually do not employ mintmarks. Changes in the size of writing or numerals occur when more than one mint was used. Panda gold coins are available tax free and it should be noted that Panda gold coins are not sold domestically within China. They are only available for foreign sale.

This is the last year of current 1982 design of the Hall of Prayers for Abundant Harvest in the Temple of Heaven before it changes in 1992. Chinese characters are shown above the Hall reading "Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo" meaning People's Republic of China. The year of issue „1991“is shown at the bottom under the Temple design.

An adult Panda sits on a rock by a river and eats bamboo with its feet in the rippling water. Above the panda motif Chinese characters display size, 1, then metric purity „.999“ and „1 oz Au.“ Below the panda to the left is the nominal value 100 and the symbol for Yuan.
