The 2019 Koala 1 oz silver coin will have a maximum mintage of 300,000 coins.
The Koala Silver coin is 99.99% per silver and is considered legal tender in Australia.
The Koala silver coin is produced by the Perth Mint, which is recognized as one of the highest quality mints in the world.
The motif side of the coin depicts a Koala bear sitting on a branch of a eucalyptus tree with its head turned toward the viewer. The detail of the design shows the Koala gripping the branch with its claws. In the background is a canopy of leaves against a smooth background finish, which enhances the beauty of the design.
Above the Koala bear on the outer edge is the inscription “AUSTRALIAN KOALA”. Below is the date of issue, weight and purity which is shown as “2019 1oz 9999 SILVER”. The letter “P” is engraved on the right side of the coin and represents the Perth Mint.
The value side depicts the new Jody Clark effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The queen is shown wearing a royal crown, earring and necklace. The inscriptions around the outer edge are the name of the regent “ELIZABETH II”, the country of origin “AUSTRALIA” and the face value of “1 DOLLAR”.
