Since its introduction in 2016, the Silver Kangaroo has depicted the same hopping Kangaroo design.
The motif side of the coin depicts the Dr Stuart Devlin hopping Red Kangaroo design. Emanating from the Kangaroo are sunburst. The inscription on the top outer edge is the name of the coin “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO”. Below the motif, in the outer margin, is the year of issue “2019” and the fine weight and purity “1 oz 9999 SILVER”. The letter “P” is engraved on the right border in the center and represents the Perth Mint.
The value side depicts a brand new 6th generation portrait of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II with royal crown, earring and necklace. The design was created by Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark. The inscriptions that surround the outer edge are the name of the regent “ELIZABETH II”, the country of origin “AUSTRALIA” and the nominal value of “1 DOLLAR”. The border area on both sides of the coin features a cluster of wavy lines, which enhances the uniqueness and beauty of the design.
